Fat Moon at Meadowbrook Farm is an organic vegetable farm and serves as the Learning Lab for the Center for Healthy Living and Learning.
Vegetables are sold at a weekly farmstand on Thursdays from 3:00 to
7:00pm. Loyal customers are able to support the farm all season by
purchasing Farm Bucks.
In addition, the public is invited to participate in the growing of vegetables through a variety of programs, such as the Kids CSA, Mindful Eating, and popular cooking demos. A full list of classes at Fat Moon is online at www.thefatmoon.com/classes

Square Foot Gardening is an efficient system to grow abundant produce for your family in a small space with a minimal amount of work. Amie Guyette Hall, Square Foot Gardening Instructor& Radio Personality from Fairfield, CT, will lead this workshop covering the following aspects of Square Foot Gardening:

May is a busy time for planting AND eating! We are beginning to harvest greens will have early root vegetables, such as radishes. It is also time to transplant weather-sensitive crops such as tomatoes, eggplants, and peppers. Includes a weekly share of veggies OR plants & seedlings to grow at home. Led by Lori Brazell.

Bring the little ones to the farm for story time and structured activities that let them get their hands dirty. In May new plants are emerging daily and it is a great time to explore on the farm. Taught by Lori Brazell.

a fast, healthy, and delicious meal. Liz will
teach you cooking short cuts to help you combine those

Come learn how to plant a pizza garden and go home with all the plants you need to start your own! A pizza garden requires a garden space of approximately 15 square feet. We will give you tomato, pepper, basil, oregano, eggplant and onion sets to create your own garden. Taught by Lori Brazell.

Come experience a 90-minute Yoga class followed by a 30 minute mindful eating experience in Fat Moon’s vegetable gardens. You´ll use your body as a tool to release tension, reduce stress, and increase flexibility. You´ll be introduced to simple positions and sequences you can incorporate into your daily life. During the class you´ll learn:
