Over the past twenty years our view of the world has changed enormously. Each year science makes new discoveries about the origins of the universe and mankind. Most people today, often unknowingly, operate out of an enlarged
worldview that integrates modern science and traditional religious beliefs. This has many implications for our values and our relationships, and creates substantial challenges for theology and spirituality in our time.

Diarmuid O'Murchu, a priest and social psychologist from Ireland, writes and travels internationally speaking on topics related to his books. His best known books include: Quantum Theology (1996 - revised in 2004), Reclaiming Spirituality
(1998), Evolutionary Faith (2002), Catching Up with Jesus (2005), The Transformation of Desire (2007), Ancestral Grace (2008), Jesus in the Power of Poetry (2009), and Christianity's Dangerous Memory (2011).

There is a new story emerging, one that evokes awe, wonder, and reverence as it expands our notion of liturgy, the prayer of the people.

Cultural religious truths need to be expressed within the context of the dynamics of the developing universe.  In so doing the essential truths of religion would find a far vaster more profound form.  -Brian Swimme

This workshop offers suggestions for praying within a new emerging paradigm of Earth’s story while keeping the essential truths of all religions.

Especially informative to those who are…

  • Questioning earlier paradigms of prayer and worship
  • Looking for parallel forms of prayer to compliment weekly worship services
  • Evolving beyond the hierarchical, redemption oriented liturgy
  • Teaching their children to pray in an inclusive manner
  • Searching for a meaningful spirituality

Are you looking for a safe open forum where you can disclose your desires, needs, hopes as well as your disappointments and disillusionments in relation to liturgical prayer?

Join Norman Comtois as he invites us to listen to Earth’s story and provides practical ways to celebrate personal and communal prayer. Together we will incorporate the five aspects central to cosmological and Earth ritual: awe, lament, embodiment, sacred scripture and communion.

The Enneagram is a psycho-spiritual tool that describes personality via nine basic types.  It is a system filled with ancient wisdom that not only can help us understand ourselves and others but also can point the way to transformation and freedom from the hold of repetitive and automatic responses.  Have you ever wished that you weren't so stuck in the ways that you react?  Have you wondered how and why people think, feel, and experience the world so differently? In the Enneagram you will find yourself and possibly others in your life, described in a way that may make you wonder how someone could know another so completely.

This weekend workshop is appropriate both for those who are new and for those who are seasoned in this insightful understanding of one's preferred way of experiencing oneself and the world.  In fact, the presenter, Dorothy Landry, considers herself a perpetual student of the Enneagram and its multi-layered insights that forever surface in each workshop through the participants' life examples.
