In September we will resume our popular Kids CSA, an educational version of the Community Supported Agriculture model. The weekly family program includes three components:

- Education about one or more aspects of local food production

- Working on the farm

- Harvesting of fresh vegetables to take home

At the farm, we help kids develop their appreciation of fresh vegetables. They can experience the joy of pulling carrots out the ground, munch on raw green beans, and eat tomatoes from the vine. With a little peer pressure and exposure to delicious foods, our participants (kids and adults!) have been more willing to eat vegetables.

The program is designed so that the learning and positive family experience continues at home with shared preparation of suggested recipes using produce harvested at the farm.

Led by Lori Hodgins Brazell.
